STAR WARS EPISODE II AND BABYLON 5

Were there Babylon 5 actors slated for Star Wars?  

These rumors have been around for a while.  So The galactic Inquizitor decided to look into The situation. We went to the source, George Lucas.

Reporter : So George, is there truth to the rumors?

Lucas : "Yes, we have been in talks over time about bringing some Babylon 5 people into the Star Wars family."

Reporter : How did this come about?

Lucas : "B5, as you may be aware has been a team on the move.  First they were at UPN.  There they were at TNT.  Then there was The SciFi Channel.  As of April the word was the team was putting these guys up on waivers."

"I contacted JMS about picking up a star or two and maybe a guest star.  He said only Robin Atkin Downes, Claudia Christian, Robert Rusler, and the Rangers cast  were on waivers. He did come back with with an offer of  Tracy Scoggins, Jeff Conaway, Josh Coxx, and John Vickery with a actor to be named at a later date in return for Harrison Ford."

"Hey, I need Ford.  We've got Indiana Jones planned for fifty movies culminating in "Indiana Jones And The Attack Of Riga Mortis."

Reporter :So what happened?

Lucas : "I counter with an offer for top line talent.  Give me a Pat Tallman, Andreas Katsulas, Peter Jurasik, Mira Furlan, Jason Carter, ... and we've got a deal."

Reporter : So?

Lucas : "He countered with Rebo and Zooti.  What am I going to do with Penn and Teller?"

Reporter : What is the rush?

Lucas : "We are running out of talent.  We almost resorted to 'N*Sync in Star Wars : Attack Of The Clones.'  We need a new Luke Skywalker to replace Mark Hamill in the later episodes.  I want a replacement before Hollywood types come up with more losers like Leo Dicaprio or worse."

Reporter : It sounds bad.

Lucas : "It is."

Reporter : Do you think the B5 talent would work well with your group?

Lucas : "I worked with Beata Pozniak on 'The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Adventures in the Secret Service.'  She was great as Irena.  Think what I could do with an Andreas."

"I think I'll have to start with digital actors."

Reporter : Is that possible?

Lucas : "Oh yes, we at Industrial Light And Magic has been at it for years.  Remember that holo-Lochley in Season 5?  Well, my Susan Ivanova holo-mistress at home beats the pants off any Lochley holobrothel creation."

"Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom today and boom tomorrow!  Man, can she boom."

End Note : ILM is well on the way to final beta tests of  a Delenn holo-home aid.  Unfortunately, the Na'Toth and Dodger prototypes neutralized, .. uh make that neutored their programmers.  The Talia holo-home aid was pulled after it just kept quitting.
