CARE TO HEAR A MYSTERY FROM CLAUDIA?
Claudia Christian is the voice of Lisa Gardner's new murder mystery,
"The Killing Hour." The
book goes on sale June 15th, and is the sixth by Ms. Gardner. It is also
the return of her characters Kimberly Quincy, a new agent at the FBI Academy,
Kimberly's father, and Raine, his partner. These
characters must find a serial killer who kidnaps women in a game to
taunt authorities. in pairs The first body is served up as "as a map
filled with vital clues." The law must the decipher them in time to
save the second victim who is facing a slow and painful death. As the author
says, "Fail, and well, see what happens when a young woman in party
clothes is abandoned in the middle of gator infested waters." The
mystery begins at the FBI's Quantico academy and leads the listener through a
tale complete with geology, botany, hydrology, palynology, and karst
experts that would test the most die-hard "CSI" fan. In
the words of one fan, " ... it was very entertaining; kind of reminded me
of "Silence Of The Lambs.'" The
book has already gained much acclaim and has been selected as an Editor's Choice
for summer reading by US News & World Report, a Top Pick for July by
Romantic Times, a Main Selection of The Literary Guild and Doubleday
Book Club, and a Featured Alternate Selection of Book-of-the-Month Club,
Mystery Guild, and Doubleday Large Print. The
audio book of "The Killing Hour" is brought to life by actress and
author Claudia Christian. It follows
her successes as the voice behind the evil vixen Helga of Disney's
"Atlantis" and her audio books of Anne Manx. At times it seems Miss Christian's
voice has a career of its own. One can hear her voice in commercials,
cartoons, video games and film and TV projects.
