THE RUMORS OF JMS'S CATNIP PROBLEM

The rumors of a substance abuse problem by the creator, writer, producer of Babylon 5 have begun to circulate in Hollywood.

Joseph Michael Straczynski, known by his fans as "JMS" or "The Great Maker" has been the center of growing rumors of substance abuse.

It appears the source of those rumors are a former friend from Bloom County, Bill the Cat.

We asked Bill what was the story.

Bill The Cat : "Ya, I dropped a dime on the guy !  We met on the set of "Murder, She Wrote."  He, I, and that Angela Landsbury chick used to go behind the set and light up a few.  I got pretty strung out after that, but JMS said he'd always have a job for me."

"Wrong !  I tried out for the "Mr. Kitty" role on B5 and no luck. Now he's doing The Rangers and "Jeremiah" and no job for moi. So I ratted out the so called 'Great Maker. ' "

Reporter : "Bill, what's with the catnip?"

Bill The Cat : "One day we ran out of Maui wowie, and he tried some of my catnip. Since then it's been down hill.   Now, he hangs around with Aaron Sorkin and Robert John Downey Jr..  Enough said."  

"Ever wondered why he's called the 'Great Maker?'  I'll give ya a hint; it has to do with his rolling paper skills."

We were not able to get a hold of Mister Fluffy who played Mister Kitty, but we did talk to  David Allen Brooks who played his owner Max Eilerson.

DAB : "It is a long sad story.  Mister Fluffy got the role as Mr. Kitty.  During Mr. Fluffy's role on Crusade,  JMS and Mr. Fluffy worked closely together.  Too close.  JMS gave him his first nip.  Since then Fluff was hooked.  You could see it in his eyes."

Reporter : "What now ?"

DAB : ""I have not seen him since he broke out of Betty Ford. I hear he just roams down Sunset turning string tricks while looking for a nip.  I hold JMS to blame."

Reporter : "Do you think he still hits the catnip?"

DAB : ""Have you seen the guy's eyes?  How do you think he creates, writes, and  produces, just Pepsi?" 

Crusade,... Excaliber, ... Drakh plague, ... Excalibur, ... Shadow War, ...

JMS was unavailable for comment.

Note : Mister Kitty was the prized cat of IPX archeologist and Excalibur prodigy Max Eilerson of B5's Crusade and JMS in real life.
