Gooey Butter Cake - Code 7R Mess

Dish Name :	Gooey Butter Cake
Ingredients:	For the Crust: 1 Box of cake mix (any flavor you like, yellow, white, chocolate, strawberry, lemon etc.) Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, or Dunkin Hines. 2 eggs 1 stick melted butter For the Filling: 1 8 ounce (oz.) package cream cheese 2 Cups ( heaping ) powdered sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon (tsp.) vanilla extract (Real stuff not imitation) For the Topping: Nuts, Pecans or walnuts. If allergic, omit nuts. Enough powdered sugar to dust the top after baking
Recipe Instructions :

To make the crust, mix the cake mix, eggs and melted butter together. This will be thick. It's supposed to be.

Then press into the bottom of a 9X12" pan. Press some up the sides about an inch.
Make sure it's an even thickness all over or some parts will burn.

After your crust is pressed into the pan, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. It should be creamy.

Pour in the pan on the crust.

Sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans. As much or as little you like. ( Personally, pecans give the
BEST flavor)

Bake at 350 Degrees for 35 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle top with a light dusting of powered sugar.

Let cool, cut into small pieces, then Inhale. :-)

What's cool about this cake is you can use ANY cake flavor you like, and it will still taste good.

It's very forgiving. If you're allergic to nuts, omit them.

This cake should be stored in the fridge. and is even good cold.

WARNING: This cake is very rich, you can't eat a HUGH piece unless you want Dr, Franklin to mark "death by gooey butter cake" on the certificate, Maybe that's not a bad way to go.
